Two suspects are now in custody following a double shooting at Hotel Royal in the North Houston area, as deputies responded to a violent scene on the eve of June 12. According to a Facebook post by Constable Mark Herman's Office, the incident took place at 250 FM 1960, where one victim was found inside the office area with gunshot wounds, and a second victim was discovered nearby, both in critical condition.
The suspects, identified as Zaairvert Williams and Ed Anderson, didn't get far before law enforcement apprehended them. A stolen firearm, linked to the shooting, was found stashed in a backpack. Unfortunately, a third suspect, who is a female and has been identified, managed to escape in a vehicle before deputies could arrive at the scene, her current whereabouts are unknown.
A thorough investigation of the hotel room where the suspects had been staying led to the discovery of more damning evidence. Deputies executing a search warrant found spent shell casings tossed carelessly into the trash, reinforcing the narrative of a shooting gone to ground. "Zaairvert Williams and Ed Anderson were arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Tampering with Evidence. Their bonds and court information have not been set. The shooting is still under investigation." according to a statement obtained by Constable Mark Herman's office.
