In a set of events that cuts through the calm of residential life with the stark reality of urban violence, a teen lost his life in West Houston last night. According to a report by The Houston Chronicle, the incident happened in an apartment on Briar Forest near South Kirkwood where a 17-year-old boy and his 21-year-old girlfriend were ambushed during what was supposed to be a drug deal.
The evening tragedy unfolded around 8 p.m., just after the couple had gathered money for the expected deal in the seclusion of their bathroom, and chaos ensued as they came back out into their living space, the two men, there for the deal, made it clear that the presence of the young man was undesirable, pulling out guns the teen was fatally wounded in the arm and sadly did not survive as the shooters fled the scene on foot, potentially adding to a history of violence they may carry with them as suspects for other shootings in the area, authorities suggest.

"The couple were in a bathroom trying to get some money together," Houston Police Lt.
