
In a developing story out of East Harris County, the Harris County Sheriff's Office (HCSO) has arrested the 16-year-old son of Latoya Fisher in connection with her murder. According to a post from Sheriff Ed Gonzalez on X, the teenager was apprehended by the Violent Crimes Apprehension Team and has been charged with homicide, following the discovery of Fisher's body which prompted a call for public assistance in the case.

The initial alarm was raised after Fisher's concerned family members, who had not heard from her, visited her apartment at 4822 E Sam Houston Pkwy N and found her dead. The HCSo deputies, soon after arriving for the welfare check, were confronted with signs of a violent end to Fisher's life.
As the investigation continues, the HSCO has consistently emphasized the critical role that public input plays in resolving such cases. In a statement obtained by Hoodline, the Sheriff’s Office encouraged witnesses or anyone with potentially valuable insights to share any information by contacting the HCSO at 713-274-9100 or Crimestoppers of Houston at 713-222-TIPS (8477), with the spokesperson adding, "It's imperative that anyone with even the slightest piece of information contacts us."
