
Chaos erupted on a quiet Fort Lauderdale street when gunfire broke out Sunday evening, leaving three men wounded and three suspects in cuffs, authorities said. The violence unfolded around 5 p.m. on the 1400 block of Northwest 22nd Street, as reported by NBC Miami. Law enforcement officials quickly responded to the gunfire, finding three individuals suffering from injuries thankfully deemed not to be life-threatening.
According to officials, the victims were urgently rushed to Broward Medical Center where they're expected to make a full recovery. Meanwhile, the suspects attempted to quickly flee the scene in a vehicle that cops later tracked down in Lauderhill. It was here where police managed to detain all three suspects, according to WSVN.
The Fort Lauderdale Police Department along with their Fire Rescue units were dispatched to the scene as part of the swift response to the shooting. The evening's quiet shattered by the abrupt visitation of violence, a stark reminder of the fragility of peace within community precincts.
Detective work led to a subsequent search of the vehicle where two guns were found, insights into the crime's material witnesses.
