Seattle Police have detained two individuals following a stabbing incident in the city's Chinatown-International District on Tuesday. According to a report by the Seattle Police Department Blotter, the incident left a 33-year-old man with multiple stab wounds.

The altercation, and subsequent stabbing took place around 5:49 p.m. near 5th Avenue South and South Jackson Street. Police and Transit Security were quick to provide initial medical care, until the Seattle Fire Department arrived, to continue with the aid. The injured man was subsequently taken to Harborview Medical Center, his injuries reported as non-life-threatening.

During their response to the scene, officers deduced that a physical confrontation had occurred before the stabbing. The male suspect apparently stabbed the victim before handing the knife over to a female associate. Upon apprehension, police confiscated the knife from the woman, along with over 60 pills identified as Fentanyl.

Arrested were a 42-year-old man, now facing first degree assault charges. After being checked at the medical center for minor injuries of his own, the suspect was booked into King County Jail. Alongside him, a 46-year-old woman was detained for rendering criminal assistance, she too was booked into the county jail. The Homicide & Assault Unit is scrutinizing the circumstances surrounding the event; with the possibility of additional charges being weighed as their investigation progresses.
