In a grim affair late Saturday night, two men were found dead in a Phoenix home from an apparent murder-suicide following a roommate dispute. According to FOX 10 Phoenix, the Phoenix Police reported finding 44-year-old Ryan Liming and 55-year-old James Quinn dead at the scene near Greenway Road and Tatum Boulevard.
A distressing call came in around 11:15 p.m. from a woman claiming her boyfriend had been shot within their home, she heard another gunshot soon after which set the officers on a tense pursuit to secure the premises, and when entry was finally made, the two men were discovered—Liming with a gunshot wound and Quinn with what appeared to be a self-inflicted injury. "Officers secured the area around the residence and later made entry. During the search, they found 44-year-old Ryan Liming deceased from a gunshot wound and 55-year-old James Quinn deceased from a self-inflicted gunshot wound," said the police.
The incident turned investigation was prefaced by an altercation between the two men earlier that night, which, ABC 15 News reports, later escalated to Quinn shooting Liming before turning the gun on himself, although the details of their dispute remain undisclosed by the authorities as they continue to scrutinize the case.
The Phoenix community, now shaken, is reminded by the authorities that help is at hand for those in the throes of struggle or crisis, with the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline offering 24/7 support for free to civilians and veterans alike, a beacon of hope perhaps in the midst of a society so frequently pierced by the reverberations of violence that seems, at times, relentless in its toll.
