Two men from West Memphis are now behind bars following a pharmacy burglary in Parkin, Arkansas. Ervin Bedford, 42, and Lawarren Holloway, 44, are facing burglary charges after an alleged 'crash-and-grab' heist that resulted in the theft of prescription medications. The incident, which unfolded on June 2, involved the suspects driving a vehicle into the Arkansas Care Pharmacy before committing the burglary.
According to Action News 5, the Crittenden County Sheriff’s Department acted on a tip that led to the execution of search warrants for both suspects. The resulting investigation, unearthed evidence tying Bedford and Holloway to the crime, resulting in their arrests.
Moreover, deputies claim that the search of the suspects' homes brought additional charges to light. WREG reports that various other charges have been piled onto the duo, related specifically to findings from the homes' search. Details on these additional charges, however, remain scant.
A tip through Crime Stoppers played a notable role in the progress of the case, as noted by The Wynne Progress. The cooperative efforts of deputies across Crittenden and Cross County were instrumental in securing the evidence necessary, for a probable cause for arrest.
As the judicial system wraps its arms around this case, the Parkin community reacts to the brash nature of the burglary. Meanwhile, the accused await their day in court, where the extent of their charges and the repercussions they face will come to light.
