An unfortunate collision in Ann Arbor has left a bicyclist fighting for his life in the hospital. The incident, as confirmed by WWJ Newsradio, occurred around 1 p.m. on the busy streets of Washtenaw Avenue and Huron Parkway. According to reports, a 45-year-old Ypsilanti man was crossing the avenue when he met with tragedy.
The man was subsequently hit by a westbound motorist, described as a 23-year-old woman, also from Ypsilanti. Ann Arbor Police arrived to find that Good Samaritans had tended to the injured cyclist before their arrival. Despite the best efforts to quickly administer aid, the victim was still transported in critical condition to University of Michigan Medical Center, as detailed by reports from ClickOnDetroit. At the hospital, he remains in a state that is critical, yet stable.
