A stabbing incident in Downtown Boston led to the arrest of 19-year-old Mattapan resident Kymani Walker. The altercation occurred on the afternoon of Saturday, July 27, around 4:00 p.m., near 215 Charles Street, according to the Boston Police Department's official report.
Responding to a report of someone stabbed, District A-1 officers arrived to find a man suffering from multiple stab wounds. Boston EMS swiftly transported the victim to a local hospital with injuries deemed non-life-threatening. In the subsequent investigation, witnesses provided crucial information that led officers to quickly pursue a suspect who was seen to potentially flee towards the Liberty Hotel.
Massachusetts State Police, having been notified with a description of the suspect, located Walker behind Teddy Ebersol’s Red Sox fields. The coordinated effort between state and local law enforcement facilitated the prompt arrest of Walker, who now faces serious charges including Armed Assault to Murder, and Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon.
