
Two women were hospitalized following a collision on Hacks Cross Road in Southeast Shelby County last Friday evening. The Shelby County Sheriff's Office responded to the emergency at the intersection of Hacks Cross and Meadow Vale Drive at approximately 8:15 p.m., where the two vehicles had crashed, as Shelby County Sheriff's Office reported.

Initial reports from the scene indicate one woman suffered critical injuries and was taken to Regional One Hospital by the Shelby County Fire. In an update that perhaps came as a relief to concerned onlookers, SCSO shared that the woman's condition had been upgraded to non-critical. During the active investigation, the other victim, whose injuries were described as non-critical, found herself transported to Baptist Hospital Memphis, according to Local Memphis.
The accident caused significant disruption, reducing southbound traffic flow on Hacks Cross Road to one lane. SCSO has provided footage from the crash, showing the damaged vehicles resting at the scene, reported by Local Memphis.
