A 61-year-old woman riding a moped was critically injured in a collision with a car in Kalihi on Tuesday night. According to Hawaii News Now, the crash occurred around 8:25 p.m. on North School Street, near the Kamehameha Shopping Center. The woman was thrown onto the roadway after a 58-year-old driver, heading westbound, attempted a left turn and collided with the oncoming moped.
The injured moped rider was rushed to a hospital in critical condition. The driver of the car involved in the incident remained on the scene and sustained no injuries.
