In a harrowing incident out of Kingman, Arizona, an Alabama man has been arrested on allegations of murder. According to reports from AZ Family, 59-year-old Anthony James Goodin is charged with first-degree murder following the stabbing of a woman, who was pronounced dead at a hospital nearby.
Kingman Police were dispatched early Friday morning to the 3900 block of Stockton Hill Road, where officers discovered Anthony James Goodin holding a large knife. He was stationed near a box truck, as described in the report. Police said that Goodin complied with dropping the weapon but did not obey subsequent commands, resulting in the use of a Taser before he was taken into custody.
The victim, identified as 53-year-old Linda Joyce Goodin, also hailing from Alabama, received immediate medical attention but ultimately succumbed to her injuries at Kingman Regional Medical Center. The relationship between the assailant and the victim has not been detailed by the police.
"(Anthony) Goodin admitted to stabbing the victim multiple times and was booked into the Mohave County Adult Detention Facility on one count of 1st Degree Murder," stated a release from the Kingman Police Department, as chronicled by 12 News.
