The Town of Argyle is giving residents the chance to do good for their community and enjoy some sweet treats with their law enforcement. In a campaign announced on their Facebook page, the Argyle Police Department shared that they are collaborating with Denton County Friends of the Family for a Back-to-School supply drive, running until July 19th.
Participating in this initiative is as easy as picking up supplies from a given list and dropping them off at a designated spot in the police department lobby. Donations lead to a chance to win an Argyle PD prize pack AND an ice cream party with our officers.
For those wanting a raffle ticket, the department's civilian staff will provide one if supplies are dropped off from Monday to Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Those donating outside of these hours are not left out, as they can take a selfie with their donation and message it to the department's Facebook to have a raffle ticket set aside for them. Three ice cream parties are up for grabs in this sweet deal that marries philanthropy with community engagement.
"It literally couldn't be more simple (or more delicious) to make a difference," the Argyle Police Department expressed the simplicity of the initiative while dangling the incentive of ice cream.
