Atlanta is on alert as police search for a man connected to a violent incident that took place on July 2, in southeast Atlanta's business district. According to FOX 5 Atlanta, the attack occurred on the 800 block of Conley Road SE, where the police found a victim inside a business after responding to reports of an armed individual, the victim sustained a cut on his head from being pistol-whipped.
The suspect, whose image was captured on surveillance footage, is said to have entered the business and made contact with the victim before pulling out a gun and assaulting the victim then quickly fleeing the scene, this information came to light in a statement during the ongoing investigation as Atlanta law enforcement urges anyone with information to step forward.
In a separate report by Atlanta News First, it was revealed that the incident took place at a home located at 807 Conley Road SE. The victim of the assault was transported to Grady Hospital, and they remained alert, conscious, and breathing throughout the ordeal.
The Atlanta Police Department is offering a reward of up up to $2,000 for information leading to the arrest of the suspect; anyone with information is encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers Atlanta, directly at 404-577-8477, and may do so anonymously.
