The search for missing Austin resident, Jon Stamm, has come to a somber conclusion. On July 8, the Travis County Medical Examiner (TCME) confirmed the identification of a body found at the Lady Bird Johnson Flower Center to be that of the 58-year-old man who was reported missing in early June, as detailed by the City of Austin.
Stamm was last observed on the morning of June 11, near his home located in the 10400 block of Wolftrap Drive. APD had asked the community for assistance in locating Stamm, noting that they were concerned for his well-being at the time of his disappearance. He was described as a white male, with brown hair and eyes, standing at 5'10", and weighing 195 lbs.
The circumstances of Stamm's death are still under investigation, with the cause pending determination by TCME. According to the City of Austin, there currently are no indications of foul play, and the case is not being treated as a homicide. However, as this is an ongoing investigation details may change as more information becomes available.
