
Early Sunday morning, a fire erupted in a north Austin garage, leading to a scramble by firefighters to rescue two dogs trapped inside. According to CBS Austin, emergency response teams arrived at the 1005 Little Elm Park location shortly after 7 a.m.
The Austin Fire Department acted swiftly, not only managing to free the canines from the engulfed structure but also providing necessary medical care, firefighters were able to rescue both dogs and after ensuring their safety, they promptly returned them to their anxious family; the relief felt by the owners in the wake of such an event can scarcely be overstated. The fire, which had spread within the roof, was subsequently put out by the crews.
No human injuries were reported in the incident. However, the extent of the damage to the property remains under investigation. Fire department investigators are currently working to determine the underlying cause of the blaze, as per a social media post by the Austin Fire Department.
