The Austin Police Department has disseminated new images of a person of interest linked to the homicide of Alyssa Ann Rivera, as announced in a recent statement. This development comes as detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding Rivera's untimely death on June 21. The victim, identified as a Hispanic female born on December 1, 1989, was found deceased in an abandoned house located in the 2600 block of Metcalfe Road.
On that fateful afternoon, at approximately 4:06 p.m., the police were alerted to the grim scene by a witness who stumbled upon what they believed, to be a body. Upon their arrival, officers confirmed the presence of the deceased, sparking a meticulous crime scene examination. The case, assigned number 24-1731066, marked Austin's 27th homicide for the year. The Austin Police Department is actively encouraging anyone with information to come forward.
In the ongoing quest for answers, the APD has uploaded the footage of the person of interest to their YouTube channel, hoping the public can provide crucial clues.
