The Austin Police Department is requesting the public's assistance in their search for 33-year-old Austin Harrison, who has not been seen since the early days of June. According to KXAN, Harrison was last spotted on June 3 around noon on South Pleasant Valley Road. Authorities and family members are concerned for his safety, as it's out of character for him not to keep in touch with his family.
APD indicates that while Harrison left of his own volition, his prolonged absence is alarming. He is a frequenter of a known local area called "Secret Beach" by the Colorado River. Described as a white male, standing 6'6" tall and weighing about 185 lbs, Harrison has brown hair, green eyes, and distinctive tattoos; a sun on his left shoulder, and more on his chest and stomach. On the day he vanished, he was wearing a light red button shirt, maroon shorts, and Birkenstock sandals, as stated in an article by KVUE.
The APD's Missing Persons Unit is managing the search efforts and actively looking for any leads that might shed light on Harrison's whereabouts. The importance of community assistance in these cases cannot be overstated, as each passing day adds to the urgency.
Members of the public who might have any relevant information or who might see someone matching Harrison's description are encouraged to call 9-1-1 immediately. Additionally, tips can be directed to the APD Missing Person’s Unit at 512-974-5250, offering a direct line for those who may have seen or know of Harrison's recent activities or location.
