The incident, which marked the city's 32nd homicide of the year, claimed the life of 34-year-old Joshua Kozak. According to KVUE, the shooting occurred Wednesday afternoon on Dryfield Drive.
Witnesses reportedly saw the suspect fire at Kozak and then flee the scene, moving through backyards in an attempt to evade capture. In the video released by the authorities, the suspect is seen dressed in a white shirt and black shorts. The Austin Police Department has warned the public that the suspect should be considered "armed and dangerous."
