The Austin Police Department is currently enlisting the assistance of the community to capture a suspect involved in a recent robbery, targeting the Halal Austin Med Break Food Truck located on South Congress Avenue, as reported. Authorities describe the incident, which unfolded on June 18th around 4:26 PM, as startlingly bold with the alleged offender physically assaulting the food truck's worker after a failed attempt at extorting cash.
A description of the suspect has been compiled and is being disseminated in the hope that witnesses or those informed might recognize the perpetrator and provide leads to law enforcement who at this moment, are in urgent need of such assistance in their bid to prevent any further occurrences of this nature.
The suspect is distinguished by several characteristics, including being a Black male, believed to be between the ages of 20 and 30 and around 5'10" in stature, and noticeable for his higher-pitched voice. He was reportedly attired in a blue shirt engraved with "I've Got This," lacking sleeves, coupled with black pants and pale shoes, all topped off with a tan baseball cap that read "Austin Christmas" across the forehead.
