According to a recent press release obtained by KXAN, the process to find a replacement began this past May, involving over 75 interviews with community and organization stakeholders to help sculpt the responsibilities and needs for the role. In the statement, DAA Board Chair Whitney May Knight underscored the significance of the position, stating, "This opportunity to lead one of Austin’s most important community organizations demands a leader of the highest caliber." The search aims to find quite rightly a successor capable of sustaining the Alliance's achievements while addressing current challenges like affordability and public perception issues.
