The Arkansas State Police are urgently calling on the public to aid in finding Heaven Jalexius Harris, a 17-year-old from West Memphis, who has gone missing. Last spotted near 600 N. 7th Street in West Memphis around 8:30 p.m. on June 28, 2024, the search for Harris has been ongoing for nearly two weeks. She is described by the ASP as a Black young woman, standing 5 feet 6 inches tall, and weighing approximately 130 pounds, with brown hair that may currently be dyed black, and brown eyes. WREG reports that when last seen, Harris was wearing a white crop top T-shirt, blue jean cut-off shorts, and purple Crocs shoes.
Additional details to help identify Harris include a distinctive small, faded heart tattoo located on the right side of her face. There is speculation from authorities that she may have possibly traveled to Little Rock or Helena-West Helena. Investigators are asking anyone with information to quickly come forward to assist in locating Harris. According to KAIT 8, there is growing concern for her well-being the longer she remains missing.
Various local news outlets like THV11 have spread the word on the active search for the missing teen, reaffirming her physical description and last known attire to bolster public recognition. The coordinated efforts across multiple platforms and channels reflect the earnest desire of the community and law enforcement alike to safely bring Harris home.
The Arkansas State Police urge anyone who has seen Harris or has information regarding her whereabouts to contact them at (800) 843-5678. It's crucial to never lose hope and to persistently search for those who have seemingly vanished from their communities. The small details — the faded tattoo, the purple Crocs, a face now etched in the minds of those looking for her — might just be the key to bringing Harris back to where she belongs.
