
Residents of Baltimore's Northwest District were witness to a notable police action yesterday evening, as Gun Violence Enforcement Division (GVET) detectives conducted proactive enforcement on Baker Street. An incident unfolded at approximately 8:20 p.m., where law enforcement officials detained a 27-year-old man found in possession of a significant amount of suspected cannabis, according to a post by the Baltimore Police.

The GVET's operation in the 310 block led to more than just the drug seizure, the detectives also uncovered a loaded firearm in an arrest that punctuated the ongoing battle against illegal weaponry in the city. The suspect, whose identity has yet been made public, was found with a loaded Glock 45 tucked into his waistband.
The individual apprehended now faces significant legal challenges, including charges related to the possession of drugs and illegal firearm possession. Upon his arrest, he was transported to the Central Booking and Intake Facility (CBIF) for processing.
