In a somber development from Baltimore's Southeast District, police have taken 28-year-old Omar Passmore into custody in connection with the fatal shooting of 12-year-old Breaunna Cormley on the night of July 19, as detailed in an official Baltimore Police Department release, the arrest occurred two days later on July 21.
The tragedy unfolded around 8:01 pm in the 500 block of North Kenwood Avenue when officers, summoned to respond to reports of a shooting, arrived to find young Breaunna critically wounded, efforts to revive her proved in vain as she was pronounced dead at the scene, and the ensuing investigation promptly led detectives to identify Passmore as the suspect leading to his apprehension in Baltimore County.
Now facing first-degree murder charges, Passmore is set to be transferred to the Central Booking Intake Facility.
