
A recent altercation in the Northern District of Baltimore culminated in a stabbing incident earlier this week, the Baltimore Police Department has reported on the evening of July 8, local law enforcement officers were dispatched to the 2900 block of Grantley Avenue after receiving reports of a cutting.

On July 8, 2024, at approximately 7:46 p.m., Northern District patrol officers responded to the 2900 block of Grantley Avenue for a report of a cutting.

Upon arriving at the scene, the officers found a 34-year-old man with a stab wound to the arm. Details of the occurrence, as released by the Baltimore Police Department, indicate that medical personnel were promptly called and the injured party was taken to a nearby hospital to receive treatment for his injuries. According to the same release, the situation reportedly escalated from a verbal argument between the two individuals involved.
The suspect, a 63-year-old male, was apprehended on-site by responding officers. As stated by the police, the confrontation turned violent when the older man produced a knife, subsequently using it to cut the younger man's arm. The nature of their dispute, however, has not been made clear.
The suspect now faces processed criminal charges after being transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility. The Baltimore Police Department has not released further information at the time concerning the condition of the victim or the specific charges that have been lodged against the assailant.
