
Tragedy struck the Mondawmin community on Sunday evening when a shooting at Mondawmin Metro Center left one person dead and another injured. Baltimore Police, alongside MTA Police, were called to the scene at the 2300 block of Liberty Heights Avenue around 8:10 p.m. following reports of gunfire, as detailed in a statement from the Baltimore Police Department.
Responding officers discovered two unidentified males, both suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite the swift response of medics who arrived and worked frantically on the scene, transporting the victims to area hospitals, the aftermath was one dying from their injuries. Authorities have not yet released the identities of the men involved.
