
Another instance of youth entangled in the web of criminal activity surfaced in Baltimore's Park Heights neighborhood. On the evening of July 23, Northern District Action Team members, while on proactive patrol, apprehended a 17-year-old male found in possession of a .380 handgun complete with ammunition, controlled dangerous substances (CDS), and an undisclosed sum of U.S. currency, according to a post from the Baltimore Police Department.

On July 23, 2024, at around 7 p.m., Northern District Action Team members were conducting proactive patrol in Park Heights Avenue and West Rogers Avenue area.

Police efforts that evening on Park Heights Avenue and West Rogers Avenue led to the recovery of the contraband items during their patrol. In a statement issued by the department, the specifics of the arrest were disseminated to the public.
The youth, whose identity remains shielded due to his minor status, was remanded to the Central Booking Intake Facility for processing.
