The teen driver of a 2009 Mazda, who has not been named, collided with the scooter rider and opted not to remain at the site of the crash, after the collision happened, the youth was apprehended by law enforcement on the 2800 block of Jefferson Street, as detailed by Fox Baltimore. The victim of the hit-and-run was rushed to a hospital but could not be saved and was pronounced dead sometime thereafter.

Post-incident, the teenager was arrested and transferred to a juvenile justice facility where he now faces charges.
