Bostonians can expect a dry and sunny end to the week, as the humidity that's been gripping the city begins to let up. According to a report from NBC Boston, the city will see a noticeable drop in humidity on Thursday afternoon, providing residents with a much-needed reprieve from the muggy conditions. While the temperatures are still slated to reach the mid to upper 80s, the lower humidity levels should make the warmth more tolerable.
The past week has not been kind to the New England area, with extreme weather conditions that included a microburst in Milford, New Hampshire, and a tornado in Lyme, New Hampshire. On Tuesday, reports by NBC Boston also indicated, there were occurrences of isolated tree and power line damage that stretched from western Massachusetts to the Merrimack Valley and southern New Hampshire.
The National Weather Service forecasts that sunshine will largely prevail from Friday, with a high near 83 degrees, extending into the early parts of next week. Friday night is projected to be mostly clear with a low around 67 degrees, leading into a sunny Saturday with highs hovering near 86 degrees. The comfortable weather is anticipated to continue with partly cloudy skies on Saturday night and a low around 70 degrees.
A slight increase in humidity may be in the cards for Cape Cod and the Islands by Sunday, but it's generally expected to remain at bay across the region. When speaking about the humidity, it's hard completely to banish it this time of year. As the next week unfolds, there's a possibility for a modest rise in humidity levels for all, though the sweltering heat is not projected to make a return, as reported by NBC Boston. The weather will stay in the 80s as the chances of storms make a comeback midweek.
