Heads up, pooch parents! If you're planning to let your furry friend run free at Brookdale Dog Park, take note that the adjacent parking lot is undergoing a makeover.
The city has confirmed a repaving set for Wednesday, July 17, so you'll need to find an alternative spot to stash your car if you're visiting the park. While the lot is getting its facelift, the dog park remains open to your tail-wagging companions; just use the trailhead at the main Brookdale Park lot to get there, according to the City of Brooklyn Park.
Expect the repaving to be a quick in-and-out job—the contractors have promised just a one-day disruption, which in the grand scheme of city work is as fleeting as a dog's interest in a passing squirrel. But because we all know that there's nothing like a little construction to throw a wrench in our well-oiled routines, there's a standby option: the temporary dog park located snugly near the West River Road water tower, as detailed by the City of Brooklyn Park.
