Brooklyn Park Community Center is keeping its doors open a little longer for registrations to its upcoming Safety Camp aimed at teaching kids aged 8 to 10 important safety skills. The camp is a blend of education and fun, designed to ensure children come away with knowledge that could one day save their life, or the life of a friend or loved one.
Set for August 20th and 21st, the Safety Camp promises a robust schedule running from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm each day. According to the Brooklyn Park Police Department's Facebook post, aside from the central theme of safety, the event is also going to be rich with interactive activities.
In addition to the structured safety lessons, kids attending will be treated to lunches and snacks, and they'll also receive a t-shirt and educational materials—all of which are included in the camp’s fee. The organizers aim not only to educate but to create a sense of community and camaraderie among the young participants.
Whether families are in need of fee assistance or not, the message from the camp organizers is clear: no child should miss out. They are actively reaching out to make sure that any child who wants to partake can do so. "If you need fee assistance, please call 763-493-8333," the Facebook post urges. Interest in the camp is high, but the window to secure a spot is slowly closing, so parents are encouraged to act promptly.
For those who are ready to sign up their young ones, registration is still available online via the provided link in the Facebook post.
