Early Tuesday morning, a situation unfolded in Carnegie that led to a wanted fugitive being taken into custody, this incident involves a SWAT team, according to local reports. At around 4:30 a.m. Allegheny County Police were called to the 300 block of Knox Avenue for a medical issue. Upon arrival, officers asked a resident if a fugitive known to frequent the home was inside, and the resident confirmed the individual's presence, as reported by WPXI.

After the suspect initially came out of the house and then returned inside, law enforcement set up a perimeter to contain the scenario. The SWAT team was dispatched to the location, and, after negotiations and the deployment of gas, persuaded the suspect to surrender peacefully. This arrest appeared to be connected to an earlier car theft incident on Mount Washington.

Following the safe resolution of the situation, the man was apprehended and handed over to the Carnegie police. His subsequent transfer to the Allegheny County Jail was reported by KDKA Radio. The identity of the suspect remains, at this time undisclosed, as the authorities continue with their processing procedures.
