Residents of Casselberry, it's time to get schooled on some pretty crucial changes that could shake up how the town is run. Eight amendments are being proposed to update the city's Charter, and they're throwing open the doors of City Hall for anyone looking to get a rundown on what's what. If you're planning on casting your vote come August 20th, these town hall meetings are where you need to be, as reported by the City of Casselberry.
It's all about making sure the folks who live here have a say in the proposal on the table. There are four sessions lined up, the first one hitting the ground running on Wednesday, July 31 at 6:30 PM in the City Hall Commission Chambers. The next opportunity to attend the meeting comes the following day, August 1, not once, but twice; first at 10 AM at the Casselberry Recreation Center, and later back at the City Hall Commission Chambers at 6:30 PM.
Details about the proposed charter amendments haven't been chiseled into stone just yet, but the city's website is the place to go for the full scoop. Head over to www.casselaberry.org or, if you're more old school, give the City Clerk’s Office a ring at 407-262-7700 Ext. 1133.
