According to KXAN's coverage, police were called to Cedar Park Townhomes, which is just west of Brushy Creek Loop, near Highway 183A. Following a standoff that began around 5:20 a.m., SWAT negotiators worked to diffuse the tension, which led to a suspect being taken into custody, wrongly placing the entire community on high alert as the morning's events unfolded.
Neighborhood residents were given clearance to come out of their homes as the shelter-in-place order was lifted at about 9:15 a.m., restoring a measure of peace to the disturbed area.
