
A tragic incident unfolded in Chandler this Wednesday when a toddler tragically drowned in a backyard pool. As reported by FOX 10 Phoenix, the Chandler Police Department responded to a distress call near McClintock Drive and Chandler Boulevard at approximately 7:20 p.m. on July 17. The child, whose identity has not been disclosed, was transported to a hospital but, unfortunately, did not survive.
The circumstances leading up to the incident are still to fully be unravelled, but what is clear is that first responders found the three-year-old submerged in the pool. The Chandler Police Department is presently looking into the incident.
Meanwhile, KOLD, providing additional context, mentions that the dreadful discovery of the child occurred around 7:30 p.m. on the same evening. According to their report, detectives have continued to work on the scene, piecing together the events that led to this heartbreaking outcome. The toddler was quickly extricated from the pool and rushed to a children’s hospital, but efforts to save the toddler’s life were in vain.
