The race to crown the community favorite in Chandler’s annual neighborhood face-off is heating up, as public voting kicks into gear for the Mayor’s Neighborhood Excellence People’s Choice award. This year, seven deserving neighborhoods, which have each hosted a community G.A.I.N. event in collaboration with regional law enforcement, are vying for the residents' votes.
Among the contestants are Dobson Estates II, Fox Crossing, Sun Groves, Terraces at Tiburon, The Springs, Tyson Manor, and Whispering Heights—each representing parts of the diverse tapestry that is Chandler. Voting opened to the public through the official Mayor's Neighborhood Excellence Awards portal and will remain open until 5 p.m. on Monday, Aug.12, as reported by Chandler, Arizona. Residents can cast their support for their neighborhood of choice, by visiting the nominations page that highlights, the unique qualities and events hosted by each area.
The much-anticipated results will be declared at the G.A.I.N. Kick-off Registration Event, set for 9 a.m. on Sept. 14 at the Chandler Police Department’s community room, as per Chandler, Arizona. The winning neighborhood not only gains the honor of being this year’s People’s Choice but also receives the benefits that include a first-place pick in the G.A.I.N. event lottery and a prize of up to $1,000 to fund their neighborhood celebration. Adding to the prestige, City Council members will grace the winner’s G.A.I.N. event in October.
