Hillsborough County has welcomed Christine Miller as its newest member of the Board of County Commissioners for District 4, following the official swearing-in ceremony held earlier today. Governor Ron DeSantis appointed Miller to her new position just last week, on June 26, to take over the previously empty District 4 seat.

The oath of office was to be administered by Judge James Moody III, as reported by HCFL Government Newsroom.  This moment marks the commencement of Miller’s role in helping to steer the future of Hillsborough County. Before stepping into her new post on the commission, she stood as the president and chief executive officer of the Greater Plant City Chamber of Commerce. Her past experience also includes serving as the executive director of the United Food Bank and Services of Plant City, Inc., all of which to equip her with a broad understanding of public service and community engagement.

Her academic background supports her experience with a bachelor's degree in natural resource economics from the University of Massachusetts and a master's degree in public administration from Florida State University.
