The Town of Collierville is flexing its muscles with the grand opening of the Collierville Fitness Center, a state-of-the-art venue that promises to bolster the community's health and wellness. In a ceremony held yesterday, town leaders, including the Board of Mayor and Aldermen and Town staff cut the ribbon to the cheers of gathered residents, inaugurating the facility's service to the public.
Featuring an array of facilities spread over 10,000 square feet, the center offers more than 35 weight/body toning stations, 17 cardio stations, and 16 spin cycles. An indoor pickleball gym and a walking track are also key attractions. An initial wave of new members signed up on the spot, impressed by the center’s offerings. Despite the fanfare, Mayor Stan Joyner emphasized the center’s communal role: "The Collierville Fitness Center is more than just a place to work out—it's a vibrant community hub where people can come together, connect, and prioritize their health," he remarked. The gathering showcased the space as more than just an assortment of equipment but as a focal point of town identity, according to a statement from the Town of Collierville's official website.
The facility not only caters to the buff and the determined but also welcomes those just embarking on their fitness journeys with group exercise classes, personal training, and specialized programs tailored for all ages and fitness levels. It stands as a testament to the town's commitment to fostering a stronger, healthier community, a charge led by both its physical amenities and the know-how of its dedicated staff and trainers.
For residents eager to jumpstart or continue their fitness routines, membership information and class schedules are readily available on the town's website. The Town of Collierville invites all to visit and engage with a variety of fitness programs, understanding that a healthier populace makes for a stronger community tapestry.
