Michael Fletcher, who had spent six years with the Citrus County Fire Rescue following around two decades at the Marion County Fire Rescue in North Florida, was remembered as a person whose life’s commitment to service spoke in the actions of rescue and the less heralded but equally vital acts of training those who follow the path; the Citrus County Fire Rescue and the community alike have felt a void amid this loss, and the emergence of the falsified fundraiser casts a further pall. "It’s sad someone did this and tried to prey upon people as they’re trying to give and support the family in their time of need," said Division Chief Jason Morgan according to WFLA.
