A suspect with a history of felonies is now wanted by authorities for allegedly stealing a truck in Harris County, Texas. According to a Facebook post from Constable Mark Herman's Office, the theft of a 2021 GMC Sierra Truck was reported on June 21 in the area of the Northwest Freeway.
Constable deputies discovered the stolen vehicle abandoned in the City of Houston and carried out an in-depth investigation, involving interviews with potential witnesses and scrutiny of surveillance footage, although it's unclear how many witnesses were interviewed or how many surveillance videos were reviewed. The probe has led to the identification of one Cesar Melquaides, described by officials as a convicted felon with an array of past criminal charges.
The suspect, Cesar Melquaides, is not unfamiliar with the grip of the law and is once again at the center of a police blotter, this time for the purported grand theft of a motor vehicle. "Cesar Melquaides is currently wanted by law enforcement for Felony Theft. His bond has not been set out of the 232nd District Court. If you have information regarding his whereabouts, you are urged to contact our dispatch or your local law enforcement," stated Constable Mark Herman in an announcement seeking public assistance to track down Melquaides.
If anyone possesses insights about the whereabouts of Melqueda or any relevant information, they should reach out to their local police department or contact Constable Herman's dispatch directly.
