According to FOX 5 Atlanta, local police arrived at the scene following reports of shots fired into the sky, capturing on camera the arrest of convicted felon Kevin Gunn. Witnesses at the scene were promptly interviewed, leading officers to multiple shell casings as a physical testament to the disturbance now rippling through the neighborhood's peace.
At the heart of this incident stands Gunn, who is no stranger to law enforcement with a history of over 50 arrests. His narrative of self-defense—claiming an unnamed assailant, supposedly in a white car, shot at him first—was met with a dearth of corroborating evidence. The Atlanta Police Department, after inspecting surveillance footage, found nothing to support the presence of another shooter, according to both FOX 5 Atlanta and a similar report by WSB-TV.
