More than just a social get-together, the event promises tangible benefits: over 550 backpacks stocked with essential school supplies, including items such as pencils, crayons, and notebooks, are ready to be handed out to K-12 students. "District 9 will distribute more than 550 backpacks stuffed with supplies," the city's announcement detailed.
In addition to these educational staples, local vendors are chipping in to provide indispensable services that often rack up extra expenses for families during the back-to-school season. Among them, Imagine Dental is set to distribute dental kits, while haircuts will be offered courtesy of Super Cuts.
