
The Delaware State Police have reported the arrest of the second suspect tied to the Seaford shooting incident that transpired in May. The 18-year-old, identified as Tyler Morrison of Delmar, is now in custody following a detailed investigation by state detectives.
It was on May 29, that troopers first rushed to a home in the 26000 block of Kelly Circle after receiving reports of gunfire aimed at an inhabited house, resulting in a 15-year-old girl getting injured. State detectives named Tyler Morrison and another suspect, Lukas Morrison, as the individuals responsible for the shooting. While Lukas was detained shortly after the incident on May 31, Tyler evaded capture until July 3, the Delaware State Police confirmed.
Upon his arrest, Tyler Morrison faced a slew of charges including Assault 1st Degree, Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, and Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited. Further adding to the gravity of his actions, Morrison faces no less than seven counts of Reckless Endangering 1st Degree, one for each worn disguise During the Commission of a Felony, as well as Conspiracy 2nd Degree and two counts of Criminal Mischief.
Following his arraignment by Justice of the Peace Court 2, Morrison now resides at the Sussex Correctional Institution with a $131,500 cash bond. This latest development marks a significant step in the state's legal proceedings, though the community, still reels from the impact of violence that shreds through the quietude of their daily lives.
