A 24-year-old Atlantic City man with a prior armed robbery conviction has pleaded guilty to assaulting a staff member at a Pacific Avenue property and resisting arrest after a separate domestic violence call involving the mother of his child. Elijah Green now faces a recommended three-year prison sentence tied to both cases, with a judge set to decide his fate next month.
Green pleaded guilty to third-degree aggravated assault, third-degree aggravated assault on a domestic violence victim, and third-degree resisting arrest, according to nj1015.com. The plea agreement calls for a recommended aggregate sentence of three years in state prison, though that figure is a recommendation and not a sentence a judge has yet imposed. Green is scheduled to be sentenced on December 15.
Two Separate Incidents, Months Apart
The first case dates to February 18, when Atlantic City police responded to 1207 Pacific Avenue for a report of a staff member being assaulted, per the same nj1015.com report. The staff member told officers that Green threw him to the ground and struck him in the face multiple times. According to Breaking AC, Green was released from prison roughly six months before that February arrest, and he was charged and released after the assault.
The second incident unfolded months later. Police were called on May 5 to a residence for a domestic incident, Breaking AC reports, and the domestic assault victim told police that Green, the father of her child, had assaulted her. When officers tried to arrest him, he resisted using physical force, according to the nj1015.com account of the encounter.
A Record That Includes an Armed Robbery at 18
Green’s criminal history stretches back to a 2020 armed robbery in Egg Harbor Township, committed when he was 18. Egg Harbor Township police said Green was part of a group that used a rifle to rob a man who had arranged to meet them to sell property, per Breaking AC’s reporting. He was convicted of that armed robbery as a teenager and was sentenced to three years in prison for it.
Separately, Patch reported that in 2022, Green was sentenced to New Jersey State Prison for five separate Atlantic County incidents that occurred between 2020 and 2022, with the sentences handed down concurrently. Among those cases, Green received a three-year term for second-degree conspiracy to commit robbery, a sentence requiring him to serve 85 percent of the time before becoming eligible for parole, Patch reported. That case stemmed from a June 12, 2020 encounter at Child-Kirk Memorial Park, where Green and others allegedly took a victim’s gaming computer without paying for it while a firearm was brandished, according to Patch’s account.
Parole, Probation and a Return to Custody
Breaking AC reports that Green served sentences related to crimes from 2020 and 2021, was paroled on August 19, 2025, and was later returned to custody after violating his probation. The outlet also reports Green has been held at Garden State Youth Correctional Facility since June 12. The timeline of his release, arrests, and custody status as laid out across these reports has not been independently verified through a primary court record.
Court filings and dockets related to the case are subject to New Jersey’s public access rules, which the New Jersey Courts portal notes do not guarantee that every record is available for public inspection, since some information is restricted under state statutes and court rules. With sentencing still roughly six weeks away, it remains to be seen whether a judge in Atlantic County will adopt the recommended three-year term or impose a different sentence.
