Last seen by family members, 20-year-old Laurence is approximately 6'2" and weighs around 200 lbs., with brown eyes and a shaved head. Diagnosed with schizophrenia, his mother shared with police in an attempt to underscore both the urgency of the search and the potential for his vulnerability on the bustling streets of Detroit. On the day of his disappearance, he was wearing a gray ‘Reebok’ hoodie and light blue Scooby Doo shorts.
Determined to locate Laurence, the Detroit Police have taken to social media to extend their reach, echoing the descriptions and pleas already circulating in news reports. The police department's Facebook page dedicated to missing persons exhorted the community to be on the lookout and to share any information that could lead to safely returning Laurence to his home, highlighting again his mental health condition that could render him, especially at risk.
