
The search is on for Aniya McKinny, a 16-year-old Detroit teen, who vanished after leaving her home late on Saturday night. According to WWJ Newsradio, the Detroit Police Department has appealed to the public for any information that could help locate her. She was last seen in the 16400 block of Sussex on the west side of the city.
Details provided by the police indicate that McKinny left at around 11 p.m. and never returned, prompting a missing person's report. Anyone with eyes having seen McKinny, or being aware of her current whereabouts, is being urged to step forward. She is described as a Black female, standing at 5'6" tall, weighing 110 lbs., with brown eyes, and black hair styled in braids. Her last known attire was a yellow headscarf, a purple sweater, black jogging pants, and white shoes.
The Detroit Police Department has also spread the word via social media. The Detroit Police Department's Missing posted an urgent call for assistance from the community. "Please help us find missing Aniya McKinny. If you have any information, please call Detroit's 4th Precinct at (313) 596-5400 or 911," the department implored.
