
In the early hours of this morning, the calm of East Austin was disturbed by an incident that became the focus of a SWAT operation. According to CBS Austin, the Austin Police Department responded to a call of a disturbance on the 1300 block of Ludlow Terrace at around 3:30 a.m., where a man had allegedly barricaded himself inside a residence.
The situation escalated, prompting the involvement of SWAT officers. However, as authorities prepared for a possibly dangerous confrontation, the suspect left the residence and surrendered without incident at approximately 6:40 a.m., as reported by the Austin Police Department's X account. Subsequently, the individual was arrested, and charged with family violence assault.
A male suspect exited a residence and surrendered to police at approximately 640am. This male has since been arrested and charged with family violence assault.
