An East Austin community is grappling with the aftermath of a tragic incident that unfolded in the Urban Villa Apartments earlier this month. CBS Austin reports that authorities have confirmed a murder-suicide involving a married couple, 33-year-old Iris Hernandez-Perdomo and 40-year-old Wilfredo Chavez-Chincilla. Police discovered the pair deceased on July 3, after a stabbing was reported at their residence on Airport Boulevard.
According to the investigation, police responding to the 911 call at approximately 10:16 a.m. found the couple dead. Found deceased inside the residence, investigators concluded that Chavez-Chincilla stabbed Hernandez-Perdomo before using the same weapon to take his own life. The motive behind this act remains uncovered, while authorities continue to seek information from the public.
