Community members and authorities are urgently seeking information regarding the whereabouts of Tsering "Dolma" Wangyal, an 82-year-old woman reported missing in the Evanston area. According to the Chicago Police Department, Wangyal was last seen on July 15, 2024, at approximately 6 p.m. at the Levy Center. A description released by police notes Wangyal as an Asian female with brown eyes, grey hair, medium complexion, standing about 5'01" and weighing around 160 pounds. Known for wearing glasses, she was last seen clad in a dark-colored, long-sleeved cardigan, light pants, and multi-colored Crocs sandals.
The urgency of this case is compounded by the fact that Wangyal is considered an endangered elderly person. The community is to fully engage and assist in efforts to locate her. It is imperative for any bystanders or individuals who may have seen something to come forward.
