Glendale Police are on the hunt for two individuals involved in a fatal incident late Saturday night. The altercation, resulting in gunfire and a man's death, took place in the 200-block of East Dryden Street in Glendale around 10:40 PM on July 7. Following reports of shots fired, law enforcement arrived to find a man down with a gunshot wound - a wound that would mark the end of his life before the sirens could clear the air.
According to the official statement released by the City of Glendale, the initial investigation suggests that the deceased may have been attempting a robbery against the occupants of a white SUV. Investigators located a loaded firearm at the scene, which they believe belonged to the deceased. An eerie silence fell where gunshots rang out just moments before, leaving more questions than answers on the suburban night.
Those with knowledge of the events on East Dryden Street are encouraged to contact Glendale Police Robbery/Homicide Detectives at 818-548-3987, or the Glendale Police Department at 818-548-4911, as per the City of Glendale. In a society teetering on the fulcrum of law and chaos, such outreach is a testament to the connective tissue that is community concern and police diligence.
The Glendale Police Department, established in 1906 and currently staffed by around 250 sworn officers, maintains a commitment to public safety and community partnerships—as stated on its official website.
